Plan of salvation

1.

God loves you and offers a wonderful plan for your life.

God’s Love:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

God’s Plan:

I came that they might have life and have it abundantly.

2.

Man is sinful and separated from God and therefore he cannot know and experience God’s love and plan for his life.

Man was created to have fellowship with God; but, because of his stubborn self-will, he chose to go his own independent way and fellowship with God was broken. This self will characterize by an attitude of active rebellion or passive indifference, is evident of what the Bible calls sin.

Man is sinful:

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Man is separated:

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

3.

Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for man’s sin. Through Him we can know and experience God’s love and plan for your life.

He died in our place:

But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

He rose from the dead:

Christ died for our sins… he was buried… he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures… He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred…

He is the only way:

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

4.

We must individually receive Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord; then we can know and experience God’s love and plan for our lives.

Receiving Christ involves turning to God from self, this is known as repentance and trusting Christ to come into your life, to forgive our sins and to make us the kind of people He wants us to be. Just to agree intellectually that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the Cross for our sins is not enough. Nor is it enough to have an emotional experience. We receive Jesus Christ by faith, as an act of the will.

We must receive Christ:

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life.

Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

We receive Christ through faith:

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not of your own doing; it is the gift of God, not as result of works, so that no one may boast.

We receive Christ by personal invitation:

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him.

You can receive Christ right now through prayer (Talking with God).

The Sinner’s Prayer to God the Father:

“Dear God, I know that I am a sinner. I am sorry for my sins. I believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for my sins. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for saving me. I ask you for your forgiveness of all of my sins. I want to trust you, Lord Jesus, as my Savior. I invite you to come into my heart and take control of my life. I want to trust and follow you as my Lord and Savior.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

Jesus Said:

Everyone who acknowledge me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies me before men, I also will deny him before my Father who is in heaven.

There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

So you are now a child of God:

If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
