We founded our church in March 2019 at the chapel of a Christian School, CCA in Hayward. We believe that sharing God’s Word is not only an individual responsibility—like being a pastor, but a concerted, group effort. We aim to care and love each other as Jesus had commanded us, reaching out to one another not only through words, but by caring and building each other up in God’s word.  

We are led by Dr. Sean May, a retired gastroenterologist, geriatrician and internal medicine doctor. Coming from Burma and a family who had deep roots in Buddhism, he was trained as a monk. Being well versed in Buddhist philosophy, he gave talks at universities, but realized the need to find God as Buddhism doesn’t include the existence of God. The Bible proved to hold the answer about God—his life was changed, and he helped many colleagues become Christians. He imparts much of his knowledge with our congregation.
